Zak Brown and McLaren, renewal to continue dreaming big. The Woking stables, during the Australian weekend, announced the extension of the contract with its CEO until 2030. The objective, obviously, will be to continue the great phase of growth - which McLaren implemented starting from the second part of last season - to try to return to fighting for the title. Brown's renewal is nothing more than yet another piece put in place by McLaren to give space to continuity, after the extension also achieved with Lando Norris beyond 2025 before the start of this season.
A starting point
With Piastri, Norris, Stella and now Brown, McLaren has now laid the foundations to be able to try to return to success. It certainly won't be easy, especially if you consider the trend of Red Bull, but it is inevitable to have to include the Woking team in the list of antagonists, together with Ferrari (in front of everyone at the moment) and to Mercedes, to try to break the dominance of the Milton Keynes stable. All the joy behind it to Brown's renewal explained by Paul Wash, executive chairman of McLaren: “Zak he demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities and was instrumental in taking McLaren forward. The extension of him reflects theour confidence in his ability to lead the team towards even greater success in the years to come."
Brown, here is the renewal with McLaren until 2030: "For me it is a privilege"
Obviously, following the renewal with McLaren until 2030, there was no shortage of the words of Brown himself: “I am thrilled to continue driving McLaren and be part of such a historic racing team. It's a privilege working alongside talented men and women across McLaren's various racing series. Together, we will continue to push the boundaries of motorsport and strive for maximum performance on and off the track.”
