After three weeks without F1, this weekend it's back to racing and will be two weekends of return given that the single-seaters will be racing after three years the circuits of Singapore and Suzuki. They hadn't seen the cars driving in Asia again due to Covid regulations of the respective countries.
McLaren orange and pink: now it's reality!
So many sponsors in the history of F1 were of Asian origins; see for example Honda. Even today they are very present, but even seeing the same car go over and over again we will never go to find out if that specific sponsor is Asian or American or European. One of them is OK (Bed Okex), a great leader among the new companies specializing in cryptocurrencies, present on the single-seater of the McLaren. To celebrate this partnership, the car will be colored up for the next two races of neon pink blobs scattered here and there. Pink has an important meaning for the Honk Hong behemoth the color symbol of the movement towards the future promoted by the company. This color combination will also be present on pilots' suits and, via an update that should take place over the weekend, in the official game "F1 22".
Brown: "Delighted to return to Singapore and Suzuka"
In addition to the announcement on social media carried out by McLaren itself, he thought about this project Zak Brown, CEO of stable, deeming enthusiastic about the relationship with the Asian company: “We are thrilled to celebrate our partnership with OKX through this bold and vibrant livery for the upcoming races in Asia. McLaren and OKX are united in moving forward and constantly pushing boundaries, and the Future Mode campaign is an opportunity to promote these values together on our global stage. It's great to be back racing in Singapore and Japan, and these incredible circuits are the perfect setting for us to celebrate the vision of our partnership together.".
The announcement of OKX
The Marketing Director of OK, Haider Rafique, adding to Brown's fine words about them: “It has been incredibly fun for us and McLaren to co-design the livery for Asia. This new livery marks the arrival of bold new technology, and that is what OKX stands for. The cyberpunk design we created celebrates the influence of Web3 on popular culture and brings this exciting partnership to life on the track. Debuting at the Singapore Night Race, this forward-looking design mirrors the 24/7 nature of OKX and the never-sleeping cryptocurrency markets. We are not done pushing the boundaries of financial opportunity yet and I can't wait for fans to experience what OKX and McLaren have in store for them.".
