The exchange of resources between teams is one of the key elements of Formula 1 which has started a new technical cycle since 2022. Never before have the rumors on the market - not so much that of drivers but of engineers and prominent figures - become more insistent, and there are those who are obviously trying to draw from the teams that have interpreted the new regulations best. Among these is Red Bull who brought home two world titles in 2022. Which will probably be even easier for him this year as he doesn't have a real opposing team. There are several men and women behind these victories and although Red Bull seems like a united team, Helmut Marko said he struggled to keep the working group close. With leading figures oriented towards other teams.
Ferrari relaunches itself on the market
La Ferrari which last season returned to making its fans dream with victories especially in the initial part of the Championship, but was unable to keep up with Red Bull. Everyone got into the dock: technicians, pilots and owners. The castle began to collapse with the first sensational out, that of the now former team principal and technical director Mattia Binotto. Two roles in one, which opened the doors of Maranello to other names. Among these there would also have been Christian Horner. It remains difficult to think that Horner, as reigning champion and after years of hard work, would have left Milton Keynes, but this is the "truth" that Helmut Marko tells.
Ferrari-Horner, a combination blocked by Marko
Helmut Marko is a provocateur by nature and for this reason his statements should be taken with a pinch of salt. The news about a possible transfer of Christian Horner to Ferrari, and the determination of Marko who had to shell out several million to keep him, comes in a difficult moment for the Maranello team which is seeking confirmation from the new updates of the SF-23. At the moment Ferrari has only made small steps forward. Unlike Mercedes which seems to have already made considerable progress with the W14B.
None of the two teams - three also considering Aston Martin - can still worry Red Bull even if Horner said he expects the gap between Red Bull and Mercedes to narrow somewhat in the second part of the season. Ferrari is struggling to understand the nature of the problem but in the meantime it too is moving on the market to build the foundations for the future in one of the most difficult seasons.

Marko's positions
And to think that in Vasseur's place on the Ferrari wall, according to what the super Red Bull consultant said, well, there could have been Christian Horner. But nothing and no one can divide the magical Red Bull trio. Rather than let Horner go to Ferrari, Helmut preferred to pay him handsomely. “It took me a whole night to convince Horner to stay at Red Bull and not go to Ferrari. And that cost us a few million!” said Marko a Tin.
A stance that already had a precedent as Marko himself said that he had also opposed the departure of Red Bull's most important man years ago, in 1993 and 1997, Adrian Newey who told Sky that he gave up so as not to have his children change schools. “The then head of Ferrari, Luca Cordero di Montezemolo was already cheering in the paddock and he wanted to announce the deal with Adrian. But that evening we managed to change Newey's mind."
