Helmut Marko opens the door to a possible farewell from Red Bull: the advisor of the Austrian team, in an exclusive interview with Oh24, took stock of his future, not 100% guaranteeing his stay in Milton Keynes even in the next seasons. “As for my future – explained Marko – we'll still have to wait a little while to understand if I will always occupy the same role".
Marko: “Goodbye from Red Bull? My future is uncertain"
With a hypothetical farewell from Marko, with his figure which has certainly caused discussion several times during this season with his statements about Perez, in Red Bull a specific case would open up for the future. Who would be, at that point, the person ready to replace it? One of the names would be that of the team principal of the constructors' champion team: Christian Horner. In fact, it cannot be ruled out that the Briton could move from the role of team principal - which he still occupies and will also occupy in 2024 - to that of general manager of the team, as also admitted by Marko himself. “The possibilities, to be honest, are different. No decisions have yet been made on this matter…as well as my future. After all – continues Marko – I have a contract in itselfcadence in 2024. The issue is complex".

And about Max…
Doubts, therefore, remain about Marko's future in Red Bull. His contract, as admitted, expires in 2024 and who knows, the next one might be his last year in the role of advisor. Doubts exist, also seen the figure of Verstappen, who wouldn't want the 80-year-old to say goodbye. “I don't deny that I have obligations towards both Verstappen and Red Bull, but the overall package must be adequate. However, these are only hypotheses, as nothing has yet been decided” – concluded Marko.
