Helmut Marko without mincing words. The advisor Red Bull, in an exclusive interview with F1 Insider, spoke again about Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris. When asked about the strength of the two drivers, Marko recognized their talent, but also indicated their great weakness: “When we talk about Leclerc and Norris we are obviously talking about exceptional talents, but both have proven not to be very consistent" Marko said. “Different, however, is the situation with Verstappen who has not yet reached the limit of his potential and will improve further".
Marko: “Leclerc and Norris have weaknesses”
With two drivers, according to what Marko said, inconsistent like Leclerc and Norris, Red Bull's goal must be to be able to push also in view of 2024 on Max Verstappen. The Dutchman has already demonstrated that consistency is certainly not an Achilles' heel, especially if we consider what he did last year, with Won 19 races out of 22. Scary numbers, which underline the brilliant feeling that was born between the Dutchman - now 3 times world champion - and the RB19. A practically perfect car, at least for Verstappen.

This year, the goal of the Milton Keynes team will be the same: ensure Verstappen can fight for the title, by providing him with a car (which will be revealed on February 15th) better than last year. A difficult mission, but obviously not impossible. Marko himself tells the story: “As Red Bull we are responsible for providing a Verstappen a car worthy of the one he had available for 2023, in order to guarantee it is still a great point of reference".
Taking a look at the Fanta F1…
Verstappen, again this year, will be a great point of reference for the Fantasy F1. Consistency, as explained by Marko, certainly isn't lacking and this is why having a driver like the Dutchman in the team - considering his average points for 2023 (+35) – can mean nothing other than bonus.
