Helmut Marko opens up to a possible landing in the future for Liam Lawson in Formula 1 starting from 2025. The advisor of Red Bull, in an exclusive interview with the newspaper "Oh24”, he explained his idea of wanting to see the New Zealand driver on the starting grid starting from 2025. “Lawason will have a starting job heading into 2025 and before then I'd like him to drive a few more races, in order to understand what its potential really is. Perez – continued Marko – he will respect his contract until 2024, then we will see what happens".
Marko opens up about Lawson's future: on track in 2025
Marko, therefore, will push hard to allow Lawson to be able to have a place on the track as early as 2024, and then obtain it on a permanent basis starting from 2025. The 21-year-old has already made his debut during the 2023 year and has demonstrated, taking the place of Ricciardo who injured his wrist during free practice for the Dutch GP, all his talent. Lawson, in fact, actively participated in the Faenza team's rise in the standings which, from last place in the constructors' standings, finished eighth, placing itself behind both Alfa Romeo (penultimate) that the Haas who then closed the world championship in last place in the standings.

It will undoubtedly be curious to understand which driver, if Marko's indiscretion is confirmed, Lawson would fill in. The list is very long: just consider that well 13 drivers have their contracts expiring in 2024 (including Perez), but without a doubt everyone will try to give their best during this season to try to confirm their seat. Above all, also the two from AlphaTauri who, in view of the 2024 season, preferred to focus again on the pair made up of Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki tsunoda. Both the Australian and the Japanese are returning from a year full of ups and downs: their goal will be to try to have greater consistency, on the track and also in Fanta F1.
