We're here now. From tomorrow it will go live taking to the track with the Grand Prix of Monaco. Sixth round of the world championship Formula 1, as well as a home stop for Charles Leclerc which shows up on the Principality's track to debunk a taboo that has been going on for far too long.
In Monaco to get up
As strongly linked as Leclerc may be to this track, his relationship with Monaco in terms of racing has always been less than positive. The Monegasque is looking for redemption, even if it won't be easy considering the great difficulties he had at the start of the season. To hold court, beyond to the performance of the SF-23, is the news that opened this week. In fact, it circulated on Monday morning a strong indiscretion on the possibility of seeing Hamilton and Ferrari, in a hypothetical exchange with Leclerc who, on the matter, declared: "I will not comment on recent speculation, admittedly it is something new in my career. Until today – explained Leclerc in an interview with the Gazette de Monaco – I had not been the subject of rumors. I arrived in F1 in Alfa Romeo without voices or signals, then to everyone's surprise I was announced by Ferrari. Since then there has never been any question why I have a long-term contract with the team which will expire at the end of next year".

Leclerc: “Renewal? Discussions not started. You have to ask Vasseur."
There are many who wonder if in the end Leclerc will renew. The idea from issue #16 seems though be very clear "I love the Ferrari, I've always dreamed of racing for this team and these voices do not touch me. I mainly try to focus on what needs to be done on the track, because we are not yet where we would like to be. Coming to the contract: I haven't set myself a deadline to handle it. We'll see when the time comes. Discussions haven't started yet and I think you need to ask Fred this question. I still have a year and a half on my contract and that's a long time lungo; it is normal that there are no negotiations in progress”.

The relationship with Vasseur
So, better ask Vasseur. The man in the paddock who perhaps knows Leclerc best of all, having literally seen him grow in Formula 1. This year there was a new beginning for them. Both dressed in red with a relationship that hasn't changed at all"We have known each other for many years – said Leclerc explaining his relationship with the Ferrari team principal – and he's always been very honest with me, it's something you miss when you get to Formula 1, because you immediately have so many new 'friends'. People who can be honest, especially about performance, are rarer and Fred isn't afraid to say things. I like this look. On another front he has a splendid vision of the competition, which I share and I know it is an important factor that everyone pushes in the same direction. We are on the same wavelength and this gives me confidence about the future”.
