Horrible start to the season for Charles Leclerc's Ferrari. After a fairly positive weekend, which saw the Monegasque aim for the podium, something didn't work. Leclerc was in fact forced to retire, prematurely saying goodbye to the first Grand Prix of the year.
Leclerc stops: engine problems
Let's go in order: on lap 41 Leclerc was in third position, when his SF-23 started to completely lose power. "no power” – said Leclerc on the radio. Quite surprising news, considering that right before the start of the Grand Prix on the Ferrari of the Monegasque A new battery and ECU had been fitted. The replacement for Leclerc had simply been precautionary, as the team was not satisfied with some parameters. Elements that will be analyzed in Maranello, as well as the power unit that will soon return to the GHG to understand what forced the number 16 on the grid to retire. At the moment, from what filters, the problem concerns the endothermic engine.

Terrible start
The podium goal thus vanishes for the Monegasque. Not the start that was naturally expected. We are only at the first race of the season, but if Ferrari had to give Red Bull a clear message in terms of reliability for the championship, let's say that there is still a long way to go. Meanwhile, Red Bull flies and with Max Verstappen and teammate Perez brings home the first double of the season.
