It has been without doubt a good day in the Ferrari house, in which the penny was missing to get to the euro, in this case called pole. In Hungary qualifying is pole position of the Mercedes by George Russell which will shoot right in front of two o'clock Ferrari by Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc.
Ferrari, very positive day
A good third position for the Monegasque. Considering the big defeat at home Red Bull, in which Verstappen for a “no power" not was able to complete the last lap in Q3, for Ferrari the day undoubtedly sees the glass half full. Starting so much ahead on a track where it won't be easy to overtake, it can be a great possibility for Leclerc to try to shorten the gap from his rival for the fight for the title.
Leclerc: “Tomorrow? Tire management is essential”
Tomorrow is a great opportunity for Ferrari. Leclerc knows this very well and comments thus his third place obtained today:
"Verstappen 10th? We focus on ourselves and it hasn't been my day. Today I struggled a lot on the tires and I have a lot of inconsistency and difficulty getting the tires into the right window in these conditions. I struggled to put the ride together. We are third and however we have the pace to go forward tomorrow. We focus on this, hoping Sunday will be better. The pace is there, we need to understand what happened to the tires today and then we can make a comeback tomorrow”.
