A month's break for the summer break, then a weekend to forget in Holland. Accident on Saturday in Q3, accident on Sunday during the race and zero points collected in Zandvoort. On the eve of Home Grand Prix for Ferrari, Charles Leclerc aims to redeem themselves, on the track where he triumphed four years ago and where he came second last year.
Interviewed first at the press conference, Leclerc spoke about his own expectations for Monza, of the special uniform and of the race in Holland. Focusing on this last aspect, Charles is confident that the weekend will be more similar to that of Spa than that of Zandvoort. Let's listen to what the Monegasque had to say.
Leclerc's words
"Monza is a race different from the others. Driving Ferrari is a privilege and the affection is everywhere, but here... We hope to get a good result. I love the "old style" uniform that we bring here. The previous GP? We learned a lot, especially on the front wing and we tried various solutions in terms of set-up and obtained confirmations".
"The situation is clear on what we are missing, the car is unpredictable and sometimes hard to drive with balance changes. And we have to work on this. It's not a track like Spa, but Monza has similar characteristics and Let's hope we can fight for the podium. I will give everything".
