The Scuderia Ferrari driver was in the town on the Tuscan coast to train with his athletic trainer. On Easter Monday, after spending the evening in a club with some friends and the trainer Andrea Ferrari, the pilot was recognized by a group of people, who asked him for photos together as a souvenir; the Monegasque accepted as he got out of the car, when someone, in the general confusion, managed to stealthily take away his watch. Realizing only later that he was no longer in possession of his valuable object, Charles reported everything to the local police.
The watch in question is a Richard Mille RM67 'Leclerc' worth around 300.000 euros, supplied to him by the brand of the same name, which has been linked to the driver since his early years of single-seater racing, as well as a Ferrari sponsor for about a year.
Police investigations are underway, but at the moment the culprit has no face. If there were cameras nearby, it doesn't help that the area where the theft took place was poorly lit, which was reported on social media by the Ferrari athletic trainer himself, who warned the municipality for not having taken initiatives on the dangers of the area despite the numerous alarms raised previously.
