An absolutely forgettable qualification at home Ferrari, especially for the driver who wears the number 16 jersey, namely Charles Leclerc. In Brazil it's pole position is preferably used for Haas by Kevin Magnussen which will start, in tonight's Sprint, in front of Max Verstappen and the Mercedes di Russell.
Qualification to forget
However, disaster struck at home Ferrari. Let's make things clear: during Q3, while waiting for the lights to go out, all the riders were ready to take to the track with dry tyres. Everyone… except Charles Leclerc. Choosing the Ferrari was in fact to get the Monegasque out on the intermediate tyres, waiting for a rain that has arrived… but late. On an exclusively dry track, with intermediate tyres, Leclerc couldn't do much more and in fact he crossed the finish line in tenth position. The team's call to the pits is useless, with Leclerc also indulging in a tongue-in-cheek radio team stating: “Nice call gays”.

Leclerc: "We expected the rain..."
Inexplicable choice by Ferrari, with Leclerc who wanted to comment on his qualification at the end of P10.
"We expected some rain that never arrived, I'll talk to the team and try to figure out what to do better in these conditions, we shouldn't be disappointed because the pace was there but that's how it went. We have the car to have a good weekend, yes, but now we have to try to figure it out in the next sessions after what happened today to do well for the rest of the weekend. What went through my mind at that moment? I accepted the decision to mount the intermediates and I waited for a rain that never came”.
