Uphill weekend right away for the Charles Leclerc, started twelfth due to the replacement of the power unit. The number 16 was called to a comeback made up of overtaking and risks, and thanks to the help of a F1-75 definitely more on the ball compared to previous grands prix, he managed to secure the third position.
Obstacle course
Charles Leclerc started from twelfth place with all the credentials to aim for the podium. The single-seater from Maranello guaranteed a step not bad to the Monegasque, who with the sound of overtaking has made his way towards the positions that count for those who drive one Ferrari. Despite the difficulties at the start, where Charles found himself having to avoid the impact with his spinning companion, the little Prince took advantage of the safety car caused by the release of Bottas to get back on top.
After returning behind Perez, Charles decided well to give the public the overtaking of the race, throwing a braking inside the Mexican that made him doubt the legality of the move. In the last fifteen laps Charles he had to give up the position on Verstappen after an intense fight, settling for a podium that gives some more hope to the men in red for the last few races.
Leclerc aware: "We have to keep working"
Charles didn't hide at the end of the race, hoped for something better but he must be satisfied, aware that the road to winning is not short: “I am satisfied in some ways, because we started from behind and made a good comeback. But if we look the race was a bit disappointing, we had the pace but then we had too much degradation during the race. We will work on it. But in the end, finishing third starting from 12th isn't bad. This was one of the toughest races, and even more so with the degradation it becomes even more difficult to manage. But it was a good race, we had good duels with Checo and with Max. We have to keep working to give them more trouble during the final races. Being a Ferrari driver is fortunate, but we have to keep pushing. We hope to win next year. We have no updates planned for Mexico."
