In a race without a huge show, as always, Max Verstappen wins and continues to write history. The Dutchman took his fourteenth win of the season by finishing ahead of the Mercedes Lewis Hamilton and partner Sergio Perez. Let's find out together report cards for this GP.
The report cards
Max Verstappen
Literally a domain. Even at his teammate's home, Max takes pole, maintains the first position at the start and runs away. He is now simply an extraterrestrial. Vote 10.
Lewis Hamilton
Make the most of it, once again. Maybe he got the strategy wrong, given that on the Hards (a bit surprisingly) he never found rhythm, but against this Verstappen couldn't go beyond second position. Grade 9.
Sergio Perez
In front of his fans he gave his best, without however being able to go beyond third place. He continues his home curse. Grade 7.
Off the podium
George Russell
Very anonymous race. Wrong start in which he lost two positions; he tries to recover but never finds the feeling with the white tyres. Rating 6.5.
Carlos Sainz
Super disappointing race from Ferrari. Something certainly didn't work, and commenting on the performance of the two riders is really very difficult. However, in terms of driving, they have not made any mistakes. Grade 6.
Charles Leclerc
Never on the ball during the weekend. The mistake in FP2 counts for little, as it didn't compromise a weekend which, however, has never taken a different trend from that seen since Friday. Grade 5.
Daniel Ricciardo
Wonderful race. It's a pity about the mistake made on Tsunoda and the ten second penalty, but maybe that's exactly what gives him the right grit to finish in seventh place in the standings. Grade 9.
Esteban Ocon
Very solid race by the Frenchman who, with the withdrawal of Alonso, still keeps alive the fourth pizza in the constructors for his team. Rating 7.5.
Lando Norris
Not a bad performance even if he did less well than in qualifying and finished behind his teammate. For him, getting into the points is always essential. Rating 6.5
Valtteri Bottas
After the MVP won yesterday, it was known that he would have struggled much more in the race. Despite everything, he manages to stay in the top ten. Grade 7.
