After the great start to the season, with the last momentary race held in Australia, Formula One stops for a week. Seven days of rest, for the Easter celebrations, and then everyone back on track. Back to Italy, to Imola in particular. The Emilia Romagna and Made in Italy Grand Prix will take place to be exact on the weekend between 22 and 24 April, but it will not be without particularities: in fact, the sprint race will debut within this season, which will take place Saturday, anticipating qualifying (which will decide the starting grid for the sprint) on Friday.
The unknown restart
Will it still be Red victory? Will any other team join the fight, seen at least on the track, between Ferrari and Red Bull?
One thing seems certain for now: everyone really likes this Formula One. The new regulation has undoubtedly been successful, making the races even more beautiful and bringing the cars even closer to each other. A result is incredible and the public, between TV ratings and attendance at the circuits, demonstrates how much they are loving this new season.
Simply show
A great applause must undoubtedly also be addressed to Pirelli. The new 18” tires are proving surefire, while increasing the show. There are many new compounds from Pirelli, as well as many choices from the company with a long P, such as the jump compound selected specifically for Australia.
The new compounds
Coming to the next rounds, however, Pirelli communicated the new compounds that will be used from the Imola weekend to Monaco.
The races selected are therefore: Imola, Miami, Barcelona and Monaco.
For the first two Grands Prix, Imola and Miami, the Italian company selects the C2 compounds (White Hard), C3 (Yellow Medium) and C4 (Red Soft).
Instead, the compounds for the selected tires will change in Spain, with C1(the White Hard), C2(the Yellow Medium), C3(the Red Soft), and in Monaco, with the C3(the White Hard), C4(the Yellow Medium), C5(the Red Soft).
Therefore, at least for the next four Grands Prix, there will be no compound jumping like in Australia.
