Not even the time to analyze and perhaps metabolise what happened in Bahrain before we get back on track. It's an immediate one-two, like that of Ferrari in Shakir, for Formula One insiders. In fact, Sunday we get on track for the second race of the season, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
It (re)runs to Jeddah
A few months after last year's debut, almost three months ago, we return to the Jeddah track. However, the track will not be the same one that saw Hamilton triumph at the expense of Verstappen: in fact, some changes have been made which should have made it even faster but, at the same time, safer. In fact, the theme linked to safety was one of the main topics covered at the debut in Saudi Arabia, with the organizers therefore immediately running for cover.
News in the air
From this year the novelty also concerns the organization of the weekend. The drivers' press conference will take place on Friday morning and no longer on Thursday evening. The first free practice session, scheduled for 15.00, is therefore postponed to the afternoon. One hour, as always, to allow the teams and riders to understand the characteristics of the track. Subsequently, at 18.00, the day on Friday will close with the second session.
The new structure
Same timetable to get more into the heart of the weekend, with qualifying on Saturday which will be brought forward by the third and final free practice session at 15.00. As a result of summer time, which will start on the night between Saturday and Sunday, the race will instead start at 19:00 Italian time and not at 18:00.
How to follow each session
All sessions, from the drivers' press conference to the race, will be visible live on Sky Sport F1. Obviously, it will also be possible to follow the Grand Prix on Tv8, with the deferred qualifying and the scheduled race, respectively on Saturday and Sunday, at 21.30.
