The extraordinary season of 2009
Like a phoenix that rises from the ashes, the Brawn GP was born from those of the Honda team, who in December 2008 announced the team's departure from the Circus. The former team manager of Ferrari, Ross Brawn, took over the team for the symbolic amount of one pound. The Brown, powered by Mercedes, he hired for the 2009 season the former Honda riders, Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello.
On the circuit of Barcelona, on the occasion of test pre-seasons, the two white single-seaters took to the track, with yellow and black inserts and no sponsors proving to be competitive. The first victory of the new team arrived in Australia, as well as the first stage of the world championship that year. Brawn took the podium, with Button first and Barrichello second, but the following day one news shook the British garage. 270 employees of the team founded by Ross Brawn had to be fired to try to limit its management costs as much as possible.
Between charges di irregularities, controversy and various vicissitudes, the Brawn GP conquered the title in Brazil the constructors' championship and the drivers' championship with Jenson Button. In November of that year, the Brackley-based stable came acquired from Daimler, later merging into Mercedes AMG. The Brawn GP feat, as the docuseries will tell Disney +, marked an important chapter in the history of Formula 1, becoming the only one team to have conquered both titles in all seasons played.

"Brawn: the Impossible Formula 1 Story" this is the title of documentary series divided into four parts which looks back at the team's success British. Between interviews, videos and backstories coming from the pits, the series will reconstruct the complete picture of the 2009 season.
To the management the Canadian actor will be featured in this docuseries Keanu Reeves, which you will surely remember for the roles played in the sagas ofThe Matrix"and "John Wick”. Reeves, also an executive producer of the series, will come supported in the story by the protagonists of that impossible feat: Button and Barrichello.
Few staff, few funds but which, spent well and combined with technical aerodynamic ideas, made all this possible. We just have to wait November 15, when waiting for Las Vegas Grand Prix we can comfortably enjoy it from our sofa at home Brawn GP's Formula 1 adventure on Disney+.
