Imola is about to reopen its doors to Formula 1 and to its public who, after 2 years of closures, will be able to experience the history of this sport again in one of the most loved circuits: the Enzo and Dino Ferrari International Circuit, back on the Formula 1 calendar 2020 in 2021 and 2025 and which will remain in the program with a permanent position until XNUMX.
The sales, which began with the opening of the stands to 75% of the capacity, will be able to continue with the opening of new sectors and a desirable presence of 80.000 spectators. With the health emergency still underway, the go-ahead was expected from the Government for the sale of the cheapest sectors, those relating to the Prato and the Circular and the remaining seats in the stands now at 100%.
The authorisation, which arrived today, was commented as follows by the head of the ACI Sport Central Department, Marco Ferrari: “Finally we begin to breathe that crisp, strong and engaging air that only big events can provide. This opening of the Prato (Rivazza and Tosa) and Circular ticket sales is a further step in the long journey that is leading us straight towards the F1 GP at Imola. A journey that has had difficult moments but which is now turning into an overbearing ride. The first sales figures and the great enthusiasm surrounding this race, which will finally be able to enjoy the direct embrace of its people and those who will arrive from all over the world, already herald a great success. We are sure that, as usual, the Italy of motors will be ready to make this great event unforgettable”.
