Even during the Formula One summer break, if there's one person who never goes on holiday, that's it Helmut Marko. The consultant of Red Bull in fact he returned to talk about Formula One and the current season, touching various themes in particular the one on the struggle to the title with Ferrari, that sees Verstappen eighty points ahead in the drivers' standings to the detriment of Charles Leclerc.

Marko: "Ferrari is not faster than us"
Marko, in an exclusive interview given to Motorsport.com, he focused on the strength of Ferrari. According to many, regardless of the results, the F1-75 seems to be the strongest car on the track, while the idea of the seventy-nine year old is not quite the same:
"Ferrari slightly stronger than us? I don't see it that way. We have always been on par with Ferrari, except in Barcelona. It was often the shape of the day that decided who was ahead, apart from strategic or technical problems, which are much less frequent here. It's only on a single lap, on the flying lap, that we could have a slight gap from them”.

Leclerc's strength in qualifying
Ferrari which however can boast of having a great driver like Charles Leclerc, which however, at least according to what Marko said, for now he has only collected within this season a large number of poles, without then taking advantage of this advantage in the race.
“Leclerc has signed many pole positions, as many as our victories obtained in the season. Pole position doesn't say much. When you are in a race and overtaking is possible, it is no longer such an important criterion. Only in slopes like Monte Carlo or Singapore the story is different”.
