In the last race of the season Lewis Hamilton risked making life so complicated. The goal of the seven times world champion is to try to bring home the victory, to end the season with at least one race win. It will not be easy even if, in view of qualification, however there is good news for the Mercedes driver.
Hamilton penalized
But let's go in order. During the third free practice session, there was an interruption with a red flag due to a puncture on Pierre Gasly's AlphaTauri. Initially, the yellow flag was displayed, followed immediately by the red. Lewis Hamilton, on the track at the time, joined the McLaren by Lando Norris, just as the yellow flag was raised. Immediately afterwards, at the moment of the red flag, the English driver went on the attack anyway Haas that was in front of him.
Goal comeback
Following this event, the FIA summoned Lewis Hamilton around 16.00 local time (13.00 Italian). The English driver explained and told why he committed these irregularities. Having listened to Hamilton's statements, the stewards met to announce that the Mercedes driver will not be penalized for this action. Hamilton will therefore be able to focus on the last qualifying of the year, scheduled for 15.00 pm, and fundamental for tomorrow afternoon's race.
