Lewis Hamilton, seven times world champion of F1, Has certainly wrote the history of Mercedes. Six of the seven world titles of the British phenomenon have arrived driving for the German team. So, beyond the working environment, SIR Lewis has tightened a great friendship with all Mercedes personnel. And this bond looks like indestructible.
Hamilton admits: 'I will be bound to them until the end of my days'
In a recent interview, Hamilton talked about his years with Mercedes and how it came about between him and the team a friendship that goes far beyond the professional bond. “I feel fitter than ever. I love what I'm doing and have no plans to stop anytime soon. My goal has always been to stay at Mercedes. I like the long partnership we have. I feel like we are engaging in a lot of really positive things, not just in the sport but outside it as well. I think there is a lot of work to do together. I think I will always be with Mercedes until the end of my days. I feel I can run a little longer”.
“Eighth title? Possible, but only with them”
Lewis already knows: having equaled Michael Schumacher can be considered a titanic feat, but that he managed to complete. But as he said "Kaiser", records are meant to be broken. And that record is the eighth world title. The Englishman, continuing his interview, also spoke about this, clearly saying that, if he were to succeed, he wants to do it only with Mercedes. “Eighth title? It is certainly a challenge. It's about winning another world championship. The feeling of winning the world championship is so unique and special. The idea that no driver in history has ever gone beyond seven titles is something you want to achieve. But I guess as you get older, you realize that the journey is the most important part with all the people you bring along and try to improve.”
“There's an opportunity to improve a lot of people, not just in your team, but with the work we're doing, with Mission 44 there's a much bigger picture. But from a personal point of view, winning another world title continues to be a goal. I would be so proud to be able to do that for this team.".
