It really doesn't work that way. It's a total mess at Mercedes, especially for Lewis Hamilton. Qualifying on Saturday in Baku confirms what emerged during free practice: Mercedes is suffering too much pouring.
How many problems
Despite everything, the W13 continues to be in the famous no man's land. In fact, the Brackley stable will undoubtedly be the third force in builders, but it is not certain that in every race he will be behind the Ferrari and the RedBull. It is enough to already observe the hierarchies that the track said today: Mercedes is fighting to be the third force during the weekend with AlphaTauri. In fact, in qualifying, Russell will start fifth, followed by gasly, Hamilton(in seventh) and the other AlphaTauri by tsunoda.

Hamilton: “I didn't try the long run due to back pain”
The problems are manyespecially the jumps. News that does nothing but create even more unknowns about the W13 project, about which Hamilton, after today, has absolutely no doubts.
"It's complicated. Our car keeps hopping, we look like kangaroos. This makes our life very difficult. I gave everything I could but also on the straight – the seven-time world champion tried to explain after qualifying - and when we enter fast corners the car jumps too much. We are in the top ten despite this problem, once we manage to get rid of it, if we ever succeed, we will gain some positions. It will be complicated to manage the entire Grand Prix: in practice I wasn't able to finish the race simulation due to back pain, I also had it this morning. Bottoming is very present, the car touches the asphalt and this penalizes us, which is why the race it will be very difficult."
