Haas, therefore, as told by Komatsu, will carry out two shakedowns in view of the start of the new season. His tests which, ultimately, will be fundamental especially if we consider the great period of chaos that the American team has experienced in recent weeks. First Resta's farewell, followed by that of Steiner (who was actually sacked by Gene Haas), they brought some small change within the team.
Haas against the grain: double shakedown
As said by Gene himself, the team's desire was to want a change of scenery a bit, especially following a 2023 in which Haas finished in last place in the constructors' championship. A result that weighs - and above all has weighed - on the assessments made towards Steiner, kicked out during the Christmas holidays, before officially confirm the news on January 10th. In his place there will be Komatsu.
The goal of Haas will be to try to raise its head again, with the pair of drivers - also made up this year of the two super experts Magnussen and Hulkenberg – who will need to bring home good results.
