Not even the time to recharge the batteries, analyze (which would be useful), what happened in the Belgian Grand Prix and we are already back on track. We fly to Zandvoort, in Holland, for the second round of the only hat-trick scheduled for this season.
Continue to fly to Holland
The Dutch race, at Max's home Verstappen, in fact anticipates the Monza weekend (scheduled for next week) and, compared to Spa and the Temple of Speed, represents a track with absolutely different characteristics. For those reasons, it's hard to expect to see it same script as Belgium, even if Verstappen's performance is still there for all to see. Will it still be such a crackling Red Bull? This is yet to be seen. If this were the case, the world championship would slowly get closer and closer to Milton Keynes and, if we consider that the chassis update hasn't arrived yet, for the opponents to see an already so powerful RB18 is not a good sign at all.
Holland is an enemy but decisive land
On the other hand, many signals must be given Ferrari. The test of Spa was undoubtedly disappointing, considering the big gap born with Red Bull. For the first time, the Maranello team failed to fight for victory, on a track that was in favor of Red Bull on the eve, but no one thought so much. Zandvoort though is a track that on paper seems to reflect more Ferrari, considering the almost absence of straight stretches. It will be the litmus test for the Reds, to understand even if the directive porposing (the TD39) whether or not it affected the performance of the F1-75. Leclerc it will have to be the redemption race, after the sixth place of Belgium, also full of bad luck with the incident of the tear-off visor (just Max's) which ended up in the braking system. Instead, Carlos will look for continuity Sainz, who will try to get back into the podium area again.
Mercedes, are you there?
The biggest question mark, perhaps as always, remains of the Mercedes. La Brackley stables failed in Belgium to get much closer to the front duo, at least during the weekend. However, it must be said that in the race, the silver arrow always goes better than in qualifying and can always try to at least undermine Ferrari even if it hasn't gone well for now. Despite the directive, according to many in the paddock, the advantage is precisely the Mercedes, there is still a lot to work on a W13 that has not yet given great emotions.
What a bad turn
It will be seen instead if the McLaren, after another weekend of disappointment, will be able to approach the Alpine for the fight in fourth place in the constructors and if instead theAston Martin he will still look for continuity after the good weekend at Spa.
Watch the timetables!
So everything is ready to hit the track this weekend, but watch out! There is no shortage of news in the timetables. Free practice, on Friday, instead of taking place at 14.00 and 17.00, will be held at 12.30 and 16.00. The biggest change is the qualifying time, which will be brought forward by one hour and will therefore be held at 15.00. Same time, but as per tradition, instead for Sunday's race. It will be possible to follow everything live and exclusively on Sky Sport F1 and in rerun on Tv8.
