Stick Damiani, president of the ACI, promises: both the Imola and Monza GPs will remain in Formula 1 until 2030. News that warms the hearts of Italian fans, especially if we consider the enormous difficulties in being able to confirm and sign a multi-year agreement with Liberty Media. The announcement was made in an exclusive interview with “La Gazzetta dello Sport", it is Damiani himself who, on the subject, admitted: “I can say that we already have an agreement, although details are still missing, to sign the contract renewal which provides for the confirmation of both Italian GPs for another five years: Monza and Imola. Have two races on the Formula 1 calendar in Italy until 2030 it would be an incredible achievement".
Damiani assures: "For the Imola and Monza GPs, renewal until 2030"
The agreement, therefore, seems to be one step away. Now, the aim is to comply with the demands of Formula 1. About that, Monza is ready to redo her look, with the works that are about to start: “The plan includes new underpasses, as the current ones are considered too narrow – continued Damiani – creating various inconveniences relating to both vehicle and pedestrian traffic. Furthermore, there will be distinct paths precisely to facilitate and create the distinction between pedestrians and those who arrive at the racetrack by public transport. We will resurface the track with cutting-edge materials, fixing both the curbs and the escape routes: for the contract we relied on Invitalia. The goal is to start work next year and have it completed by June".

“The goal is to get ahead of ourselves before 2025”
Formula 1 is a sport in continuous growth, with the revenue continuing to prove it. There are many requests that Liberty Media receives from other nations to host a GP during the season and, precisely for this reason, Damiani's goal is to try to anticipate: "The queue of requests to host a GP is there and also large nations, such as France e Germany, To date they don't have a stage on the calendar. For these reasons I think it is important move forward with respect to the 2025 deadline, which among other things will coincide with the election of the FIA president and the new Concorde Agreement".
