The Japanese Grand Prix will officially start tomorrow. After two years due to Covid, la Formula One come back and visit the Suzuka track, with also some news on the organizational aspect, in particular on the FP2.
Ninety-minute FP2 for the Pirelli tests
As always, the weekend does not change its basic structure: we will start with the first free practice session at 05.00, with the second scheduled at 08.00. The novelty concerns precisely the last session on Friday. In fact, the session will last ninety minutes and not sixty, to allow Pirelli to carry out tests on the tires for 2023.

Goal 2023
According to what is said in the paddock, Pirelli will try several tyres, excluding the softer ones that don't fit well on the Japanese track. To prevent these tests from leaving an indication to the teams for next season, the compounds will not take on the colored identification band. Only the manufacturer from Long P will obtain the necessary information from the performance of these tests.
Watch out for the rain
The only variant is the pioggia. The weather forecast for Suzuka seems to be uncertain. In fact, if it rains on Friday for FP2, the half hour will be dedicated to Pirelli will be postponed to the Mexican Grand Prix.
