The last stage to close the American triptych. The last race weekend before the break week in view of the closing of the season. Formula 1, after the GP of Austin and Mexico, arrives in Sao Paulo for the Brazilian GP, in which there will be no shortage of news, above all the return of Sprint, which changes weekend times quite a bit.
Let's start again from Verstappen: the man of records
Although both the drivers' and constructors' championships have already been awarded, Verstappen doesn't want to stop. The Dutchman goes after the 52th career victory, getting ever closer to Sebastian Vettel, stuck at 53. To do so, Super Max needs to win two more races and, considering that three are missing, the shots in his rifle there aren't that many anymore. On the other side of the garage, however, there are those who are looking for a victory, almost dreaming of it: Sergio Perez. The Mexican he also failed in his home GP and, with a Ricciardo who on AlphaTauri conquered the seventh position, doubts about his future are starting to appear.
Ferrari, will there still be a fight with Mercedes in Brazil?
However, things are different at Ferrari. Mexico could have been the great opportunity to shorten the gap even further - always stopping at 22 points – from Mercedes. However, this was not the case. Once again in the race, the SF-23 does not give the right guarantees that it did more than once in qualifying. A big problem for both Leclerc and Sainz, with the result in Mexico which, as both started from the front row, speaks more than clearly. In front there is Mercedes, or rather: there is Lewis Hamilton. The entire season of the seven-time world champion is truly dizzying and, after the new fund brought to Austin, the gap with his teammate has increased more and more.
