The starting grid of the Brazilian Grand Prix opens with a surprise. At the beginning of the season, perhaps we never imagined ourselves, given the trend, of talking about a front row Mercedesbut that's actually how it is. George Russell and Lewis Hamilton in fact, they will start in first and second position. It will be crucial to see how much the W13 continues to prove to be a super effective car and what kind of strategy will be implemented by the silver arrow. It will have to be perfect, considering the second row with license plate Red Bull. In fact, Max Verstappen will start from third position, alongside his teammate Sergio Perez. Yesterday's Sprint wasn't brilliant for the Dutchman, who will certainly seek redemption in the most important race of the weekend.
Here are the Ferraris
In fifth place we find the first Ferrari, or that of Charles Leclerc. The Monegasque managed a good comeback in the Sprint yesterday and will try to get closer to the front group in the race. Behind him the McLaren of Lando Norris who aims to earn important points for his team, considering the sinking Alpine. Seventh place for the penalized Carlos Sainz who managed to limit the damage very well with second place in the Sprint. Eighth position for the poleman of this weekend Kevin Magnussen. Behind him Sebastian Vettel and Pierre Gasly's AlphaTauri.
Point hunting
Within the the eleventh position Daniel Ricciardo aiming for the points, as well as Mick Schumacher. The German starts in twelfth position and still hopes to have a seat in view of next season (even if it seems really very difficult). Not an easy weekend for now for the two Alfa Romeos thirteenth and fourteenth position with Zhou and Valtteri Bottas. Fifteenth box instead for Yuki Tsunoda.
In the background the disastrous Alpine
Sixteenth place for Lance Stroll which, after contact yesterday with mate Sebastian Vettel, was penalized by 10 seconds and will be forced to start from the rear. Next to him the first of the two Alpines. Seventeenth place for Esteban Ocon who will start in front of Alonso eighteenth. Last row for the two Williams of Latifi and Alexander Albon.
With this starting grid we are ready for the start of the penultimate race of the season. Appointment at 19.00 because the show is guaranteed.
