The latest indications, before the arrival of qualifying, are still visible in Bahrain in FP3 once Fernando Alonso snatch the best performance in front of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez.
Alonso doesn't want to stop
It was a session characterized by different strategies. Aston Martin focused on the qualifying lap, with first place for Alonso and seventh for Stroll. Like yesterday, the same performance of the Silverstone team that almost makes an impression, with Stroll who also seems to have less pain than those accused yesterday evening after the FP2. If there was still the need to confirm it, Fernando and Lance thus did it very well: Aston Martin is strong and will fight for the top positions in both qualifying and the race.
Ferrari: double work
Different work also at home Ferrari. Leclerc and Sainz in the first part focused on the qualifying lap, conquering the fifth place with the Monegasque and the eighth position with Sainz. A step from qualifying which, as demonstrated yesterday, seems to be there for the Maranello team (considering that the engine will be upped) which also wanted to prepare the race pace simulation. A choice that is not certain will prove to be true, considering the different track conditions that we will have tomorrow with the race, scheduled at 16.00.

Red Bull, possible a stop?
Particular choice instead at home Red Bull. After an excellent flying lap and race pace witnessed yesterday, the Milton Keynes team preferred to test the hard rubber. Could it be a message for the race? In fact, it is not excluded that Red Bull can opt for just one stop tomorrow. Towards the end of the session, Verstappen took second place on the soft tyres, while Perez finished third.
Lewis is not convinced
Instead, it appeared to be one Mercedes on engine. The Brackley team didn't convince either in the tests or yesterday. Hamilton's words were not very confident, as well as his sensations despite the fourth place. Once again, the true potential will be discovered later in the afternoon.
GP Bahrain, no hiding
This concludes the last practice session for the teams, who from 16.00 with the qualification will no longer be able to play hide and seek.
