Il Jeddah Grand Prix was dominated laid down by the Red Bull, precisely from Sergio Perez, who led the race at almost every pass. In fact, the only real fight at the top of the standings was between the two riders of the Milton Keynes team, i.e. between the Mexican and Max Verstappen.
Fight for the fastest lap, but what were the orders of the wall?
However, this battle was not in terms of positions, given that the gap between the two has always remained constant (4/5 seconds). Verstappen and Perez challenged each other on point for the fastest lap. Thanks to the impressive speed demonstrated by the car and the almost absent tire degradation we witnessed consecutive qualifying laps. On the last lap, the second fastest time was held by the second Red Bull driver. The two-time world champion, however, was not happy and wanted to be the one to decree the lap record. So, on the last pass across the finish line, Max scores a fuchsia monstrous, unbeatable.
But the orders from the low wall had not been those. Jos' son heard a strange noise coming from the axle shaft throughout the race, the same problem he had in qualifying. As a precaution, therefore, the engineers had asked to slow down. The same had been reported to Checo who, seeing that his teammate's times were decreasing, decided to don't listen to the team.

Perez offers a version, Horner denies
Obviously the driver from Mexico City would never have expected all of this, demonstrating, in the post-race interview, very amazement at the news.
The comment from the Red Bull team principal could not fail to arrive, Christian horner. According to him, seeing the telemetry, neither of the two was respecting the orders of the pit wall in the last lap, with one substantial difference: Perez lifted his foot after two turns.
“We understood that the riders would try again to improve the time on the last lap - he has declared - both pilots had received necessary information in case they still wanted to try. Checo had the fastest lap at the time, and it was obvious for him to ask which one was him. He knew Max would give it a go, but gave up after the first two corners. He was already a tenth and a half away from himself, and then he gave up”.
