A week of reflection but above all of work for the various Formula One teams. Following the first three races of the year, after the Easter holidays we get back on track with the Imola Grand Prix (April 22-24). Never like this year, the weekend that will take place at the Enzo and Dino Ferrari racetrack represents a key point in trying to turn the season around for many teams.
Between news and confirmations
In fact, a series of updates are planned for some cars. To date, Red Bull (with the overweight issue) and Alpine have already declared news for the first Italian Grand Prix of the season. On the other hand, no major changes are foreseen for Ferrari and Mercedes, as Toto Wolff has stated that developing new features on the W13 at this time would only lead to more confusion.
The AlphaTauri is also coming
AlphaTauri is also added to the list of teams ready to change something for Imola. The team from Faenza is back from an undoubtedly unspectacular start to the season, with reliability problems that weighed heavily, as stated by their driver Pierre Gasly:
“We are only at the third race of the year and then the car will be subject to updates over the next few weeks. I trust the team and the updates we will bring. In Melbourne we struggled more than our rivals. McLaren came back strong, took a big step forward and Alpine as well. We can be happy with the points we scored, especially considering that we were unlucky with the intervention of the Safety Car at the time."
Gasly: “Imola? I can't wait"
So adrenaline at its best for the Frenchman, after all considering Imola also AlphaTauri's home race is not a mistake, on the contrary: "Imola will be important for us, I can't wait to see what we can achieve. We will race with the new generation of single-seaters, new regulations. We know that this is a season in which developments will count for a lot and whoever develops their car better and faster will have a great advantage over the others. I think that Imola will be a great test for us also because we will have new parts. We hope to get the performance we expect."
