A test session that was as atypical as it was useful in view of the qualifying sessions at 22pm. In the National of Canada the FP3 was dedicated to the qualifying simulation, given that the forecast does not signal upheavals for the rest of the day. In front of everyone there is the very fast one Verstappen, followed by the excellent Ferrari of Leclerc to three tenths. Mercedes and Perez are missing, Sainz to the wall.
Rain and wind in Canada
In the very cold and windy Montreal, FP3 sessions dedicated to the flying lap test took place. The session just held was also aopportunity to try wet tires without tyrewarmers, for the second time later Montecarlo. Alpine tried to recover after a nightmare Friday, while Aston Martin had the opportunity to try again brand new update package in extreme conditions.
He had fun" tsunoda after a misunderstanding with Fernando Alonso. The Japanese completed a 360° with straight wheels after turn four, and shortly afterwards found himself with his wheels in the grass after a spin in turn 2. The Haas are excellent in the wet, who have battled with the Ferrari for the best time in the first part of the session.

Excellent Ferrari, but beats Sainz
The redheads are positively stunning in Montreal. The SF-23, after the updates brought to Barcelona, he seems more at ease compared to the disastrous Catalan weekend. The evolution single-seater performs well in dry and wet conditions, but all that glitters is not gold, as the role played by the Canadian layout should not be underestimated, which fits perfectly with what the redhead has shown so far.
An unhappy session for Sainz. The Madrilenian, thanks to a positive Friday, started FP3 with excellent times. Shortly afterwards, however, the 55 prevented Albon from completing his lap twice in a row. A few laps later, Sainz crashed and lost his car when braking in turn 1. Damage to both wings for the Spaniard, who sees it his qualification is at risk.

Red Bull favourites, but Perez is missing
Max Verstappen was kept waiting as usual, but when he arrived he did it his way. The Dutchman complained of the usual downshift problems, and then repeatedly set times that were difficult to reach. Further away is Perez, who seems deprived of confidence after the success in Monaco who accompanied him at the start of the championship.
Definitely not ideal conditions for the new Mercedes. The two star riders struggled throughout the session. Aston Martin also leaves some doubts, but she doesn't seem to be in as much difficulty as she was in the Montmelò trip.
The time table before qualifying
Verstappen claims pole position in Canada, but Leclerc follows him closely, with a gap of about three tenths. Third there is Alonso, with the excellent Haas behind it Magnussen. Sainz he is fifth despite the bang. The alpine of gasly she is sixth ahead of Stroll, tsunoda e Bottas. The top 10 closes Hamilton. Hulkenberg precedes the McLarens of Plates and Norris. Albon he is 14th. 15th is the other Mercedes Russell, Followed by De Vries and the anonymous Perez. Zhou, Ocon and Sargeant seal the grill in today's FP3.
