Growing Ferraris

After a Mercedes one-two in FP1, the second free practice session ends with a 1-2 Ferraris. Charles Leclerc precedes the partner Sainz of only 4 thousandths. Could a higher temperature than this morning have helped the Prancing Horse cars? We will never know, but what is certain is that Zandvoort seems to smile more at the Reds than at Spa.
Mercedes: three-way fight for victory?

A great Friday for the Silver Arrows, first and second in FP1 and third and fifth in FP2. If George Russell he had beaten the teammate Hamilton in the morning session, the seven-time world champion finished the day in third place. In general, the W13 appears to be very competitive on the Dutch track, highlighting one continuous growth which could lead the House of the Star to fight for victory. Will it be a coincidence that the last win (Jeddah 2021) coincides with the last 1-2 in free practice before today? We will only know by living.
Red Bull: hide and seek or trouble?

Red Bull, on the other hand, did not start its top driver's home weekend in the best possible way. After lapping just 10 minutes in FP1 for a mechanical problem, Max Verstappen settled for theeighth place in the second session. The good race pace, however, suggests a conservative Max who will be back in shape as always tomorrow. On the other side of the box, however, Sergio Perez is really struggling. Not being comfortable with the set-up, the Mexican scored a measly twelfth time.
Norris, Stroll and Alonso: surprises in the middle of the grid?

Removing the attention from the top teams, let's see some surprises of the day, among all Lando Norris and Lance Stroll. English and Canadian closed respectively room e sixth, setting excellent lap times. Also noteworthy is an excellent Fernando Alonso in seventh position and Esteban Or with in ninth, who will try to increase their advantage over McLaren (fresh from Piastri's announcement) in constructors.
The Circus is back tomorrow, with the FP3 at 12 and qualifying at 15pm!
