The Friday of Abu Dhabi it didn't allow much action for the full-time drivers. After FP1 with 10 rookies in action, FP2 were characterized by two red flags, following two accidents before Carlos Sainz and then Nico Hulkenberg.
What a bang for Sainz!
The first accident, which involved Ferrari number 55, was the most violent. The Spaniard lost control of his car in curve 3 and ended up against the barriers at about 240 kilometers per hour. The crash was caused by a Bump quite noticeable, causing contact between the plank and the asphalt while the steering was turned. Fortunately, the pilot suffered no consequences.

The other contact with the barriers came with Nico Hulkenberg. The German turned around at the exit of curve 1 and he touched the internal barriers, much more lightly than the Madrid player. His Haas VF-23 was not as damaged as the #23 SF-55, but the damage still caused the second red flag of the session.
All this compromised the day's program. It is no coincidence, in fact, that Fernando Alonso (who left his Aston Martin to Felipe Drugovich in the morning) he asked (in vain) via radio to extend the session to make up for time lost under the red flag regime.

As for the final ranking, Charles Leclerc he finishes ahead of everyone, ahead of Lando Norris of 43 thousandths and Max Verstappen of 173 thousandths. During the session, the Dutchman made some headlines overtaking when exiting the pitlane, complaining about the failure to move some colleagues.
Sergio's other Red Bull Perez he is fifth, ahead of George Russell. The two are surprising Alfa Romeo, with Bottas fourth and Zhou seventh. The Ferrari engine certainly helped and we will try to give away some points in what will be the last race in Formula 1 for Sauber sponsored by Biscione.
They complete the top 10 Hamilton, Piastres e gasly. They follow Alonso, Ricciardo, Stroll, Or with, tsunoda, Albon, Magnussen, Sergeant and the two "retired" Sainz e Hulkenberg. The appointment is tomorrow at 11:30 for the FP3 and 15 for the qualifications.
