Un dream weekend for Franco Colapinto, who won the victory of Sprint Race of Formula 3 on the Albert Park circuit. Unfortunately this though dream soon turned into a nightmare. Colapinto was in fact disqualified from the race, same fate for teammates Jonny Edgar and Mari Boya.
Formula 3 breaks hearts
MP Motorsport ended Saturday's Sprint taking home one double win: in Formula 3 with Colapinto and in Formula 2 within Dennis Hauger. The Favola what the Dutch stable was experiencing was though interrupted at 18.15 local time, when the news of the disqualification was published. According to reports, in apost-tender inspection the three single-seaters featured modified body parts. There modifying the geometry of the parts is prohibited of the regulation beyond the simple repair of them.

The cup passes to O'Sullivan
The Prema driver had scored, together with Colapinto, one 1-2 for Williams Academy. An amazing race on his part, after a weekend in which he showed consistency and skill. icing on the cake, his first win of 2023 in Formula 3, unexpected but for sure not as she had imagined. Also promoted Sebastian Montoya who had lost second position on the penultimate lap, being overtaken by O'Sully. The new arrived on the updated podium of the Sprint Race is Paul Aron. The Mercedes junior Driver signs a double podium for Prema.
