In a week in which there was certainly no shortage of news (from the rejection of Andretti to Hamilton and Ferrari), Formula 1 has decided to enrich the information even more on the day in which the presentation of the new one is also expected Haas. In fact, through an official press release, Formula 1 confirmed the contract renewal for the Japanese GP which will remain on the calendar until 2029.
Formula 1 announces the renewal of the Japanese GP until 2029
Suzuka, therefore, will also be another stage that will remain in Formula 1 for quite a few years. There are applications for various countries to host a Grand Prix, but the number (maximum of 25) dictated by the Pact of the Concordia, also combined with these very long renewals (just think of the one in Melbourne) does not allow many Nations to enter the Circus on a permanent basis. Meanwhile, Formula 1 is enjoying itself the Suzuka track (considered by many drivers to be one of the most beautiful in the championship) and announces its renewal in an official press release: “Formula 1 announced a five-year extension with the Japanese Grand Prix which will see the iconic Suzuka circuit remain on the F1 calendar until and including 2029".

Formula 1 CEO Stefano underlines the importance and joy of the agreement reached Sundays"Suzuka is a special circuit and it's part of the fabric of the sport, so I am happy that F1 will continue to race there until at least 2029. As we prepare to return to Japan earlier than usual this season, I would like to express my great gratitude to the promoter and team at Honda MobilityLand for supporting our efforts towards greater rationalization of the calendar as we seek to make the sport more sustainable".
Great joy is also shown by Tsuyoshi Saito, president of the Honda MobilityLand team: “I am pleased to say that we will be able to continue to host the Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka Circuit from 2025 onwards. I would like to express our sincere gratitude to Stefano Domenicali and the other members of Formula 1. We will continue to work together to local communities and government agencies, including Mie Prefecture and Suzuka City, so that Suzuka can continue to be loved by fans around the world and contribute to the prosperity of motorsports culture and industrial development.".
