As has been well known for some time, the season 2024 will be the longest ever, well 24 races scheduled in the Formula 1 calendar. This is also thanks to the return of the circuit to the calendar Shanghai, in China. A path that has always been the case since the beginning of the pandemic closed for the country's restrictive policies.
Entertainment, health and a very busy calendar: the FIA and the Formula 1 teams come to an agreement
From an entertainment perspective, in 2024, having so many grands prix to watch within a Formula 1 calendar will undoubtedly be very popular with fans. It would become a bad thing if we were to witness a year similar to that one 2023, where the domain of Max Verstappen made most of the races monotone e boring. All this leads to a removal of the fans after two seasons like those 2021 e 2022, which had seen an exponential increase in people interested in the discipline.
Seen from the side of the stables, however, all this has only sides negative. More appointments mean more work, especially close up. And moving from one continent to another doesn't help mechanics and engineers in the slightest, especially those forced to always be in contact with the cars. For this reason, the FIA, in agreement with the teams, is thinking of a overdrive of races in which every member of the stables can participate. This would serve to minimize the stress accumulated by all staff and make more performing the whole "organizational machine".

Allison confirms everything: “All that's missing is the official status”
What seemed like just a hypothesis a few weeks ago seems to have already become reality. As he confirmed James allison, technical director of Mercedes, the Federation has already thought about this plan. The only obstacle seems to be the budget cap, but the Briton explained how the teams will work organize yourself as best as possible to always be competitive: “For people who are always traveling with the team, having such a long season would mean at least passing half a year to travel, and this is not good at all. If we also take into account the winter break where we need to develop the car for next year, then there is not a moment of rest. For this reason the F1 is already thinking about how to handle the situation. With the budget cap, staff turnover is impossible, but limit the races for each individual member of the teams it could be an idea. Obviously, each team will have to know each other to organize, and this too can be a factor that can determine a weekend done in the best possible way".
