Now there's very little left until the restart. One more week and Formula One will be back on track with the Grand Prix of Spa in Belgium, ready to review the title fight between Verstappen e Leclerc and many other new features.
Let's start once again
One of these undoubtedly concerns the obligation of teams to allow drivers with less than three grands prix in Formula One to compete in two free practice sessions. In fact, over the course of the year we have already seen some teams who have opted for this solution. An example could be Mercedes with De Vries. The reigning Formula E champion has already replaced Lewis Hamilton during the first free practice session in France, without even going too badly, concluding in ninth position.
New debuts ready
According to the latest, in particular based on the statements of the AlphaTauri team principal Tost, Lawson will take part in his first Formula 1 weekend at Spa, driving the AT03. It is not yet known whether he will replace Pierre Gasly or Yuki Tsunoda, always closer to renewal ahead of next season. It will be a great opportunity for Lawson who, following what happened at Red Bull with VIPs, he became the third driver of both Milton Keynes stables than that of Faenza.
Ferrari, room for Schwartzman
What it will be, however, remains to be understood Ferrari's decision. The rookie driver of the Maranello stable it will be Robert Schwartzman. The Russian driver, who will race under the Israeli license, is expected to do his debut in free practice in Singapore. It will be Schwartzaman's first time on the F1-75, although the Rossa test driver has already had the opportunity to test the SF-21 on track at the Mugello circuit and the SF71-H at Fiorano in January. Obviously, it is still unknown whether the Russian driver will replace Leclerc or Sainz during the session.
