The partnership between Suaber and Ferrari will continue until 2025, despite Alfa Romeo's farewell from Formula 1. This was announced in an exclusive interview with Autosprint by the team principal of the Sauber team Alessandro Alunni Bravi who told how the agreement with the Maranello team as regards the supply of engines, it will remain untouched for the next two seasons. "We are talking about two contracts, the one with Alfa and with Ferrari, which are very different. I can confirm – explained Alunni Bravi – than Sauber will continue to race with Ferrari engines for the next two years. The agreement will be valid for the 2024 and 2025 seasons".

News which therefore allows Sauber to lay the foundations for planning the last two years in Formula 1 before the official transition to Audi starting in 2026.”We have, on behalf of Suber, a very good relationship with Ferrari and this is very important for us”. An agreement which, as admitted by Alunni Bravi himself, was found independently of Audi's entry: “Ferrari has always been informed of the team's plans at this time. Audi in January 2023 has decided to buy part of Sauber of the current ownership, but this will not hinder the relationship with Maranello which is and will be very solid for the next two years".
With the aim of getting back up
Following a 2023 quite difficult, both on one side and the other, Sauber and Ferrari through the renewal of the supply of engines hoping to raise their heads again. La Rossa is fresh from third place in the constructors' championship and Vasseur he has repeatedly underlined his desire to start again from the last races of the season, in which Ferrari has demonstrated several times that it is trying to get closer to Red Bull. The opposite is true, however, as regards the now former Alfa Romeo which, in 2024, will be with Bottas that with Zhou he will want to have the top ten as his main objective every weekend.
