It is usually said: those who start well are halfway there. And Ferrari started the Mexican GP weekend really well. During FP2, in fact, Charles Leclerc he took home third place, behind Lando Norris and the undisputed leader Max Verstappen. Carlos's point, however, is different Sainz: a little more in difficulty than his teammate, but ready to take advantage of the classic weekend format to regain confidence with his SF-2 following the FP23 in Mexico.
FP Mexico, Sainz only eleventh
In FP2 in Mexico, Sainz did not go beyond eleventh position. A result that naturally does not reassure the Spaniard, who he conquered (also due to the disqualifications) the podium last week in Austin. For Sainz, however, Friday got complicated right from the start first session, in which the Spaniard had to return to the pits for a plumbing problem, fortunately resolved in time by the mechanics Ferrari.

Sainz: “I thank all the fans for the support”
Eleventh position certainly doesn't satisfy Sainz who will try to take advantage of the opportunity to have another free practice session, FP3 scheduled for today at 19pm, at his disposal. To tell his feelings following FP2 in Mexico it's the same Sainz"It was a Friday challenging: we also tried the prototype tires and this is usually the case shuffle the cards a bit. Despite a small problem in FP1 we managed to complete the planned program and we are satisfied with this. There's still a bit of work to do before qualifying so we'll get our heads down on the data before getting in the car again for the final practice session. The atmosphere here is always wonderful, I thank all the fans for their support".
