Carlos's analysis at the end of the Las Vegas GP
Interviewed by Sky Sports, the Madrid native spoke about the complicated departure in the center of the group and of the many blocks that involved him: “A very difficult race starting from the middle of the pack. There was very little grip at the start because the tires were cold, so everyone locked up, including me. The grip was probably lacking because the track was really dirty inside, and the dirty air on my face didn't help either. Fortunately we managed to recover from the last position we found ourselves in to sixth.".

The pace was there, but Sainz was unable to exploit it
Continuing his statements, the 29-year-old Spaniard made it known that don't be happy of his race. Obviously everything comes from manhole of FP1 given that, without that inconvenience, today we could have fought for something important: “Obviously I'm not happy with the result. The car today had the pace to fight for the podium, if not even the victory. For me it's a weekend to quickly forget. Fortunately, P6 allows us to bring home 8 important points – concluded Sainz – 4 points from Mercedes are nothing, they are worth a position or two. We will go to Abu Dhabi to beat them, especially me because I want to recover after what happened this weekend.".
