The tension grows more and more. Formula 1 is preparing to return to the track after more than 40 years Las Vegas for a GP full of emotion and above all question marks. The penultimate stop on the calendar has been around for quite some time in the heads of Ferrari engineers. The red, in fact, considering the characteristics of the track, hopes to be able to convince both with Sainz, fresh from sixth place Brazil, which with Leclerc, forced to training camp in the training lap in San Paolo. Let's remember that Sainz was the only one so far to have snatched victory from Max Verstappen and Red Bull in Singapore. So let's see his feelings on the eve of the most anticipated Grand Prix of the season!
Sainz is convinced: “I have good sensations”
However, one thing seems to be certain: the Las Vegas GP will be a truly special event. This is confirmed by the busy program that will occupy the whole weekend, which began on Tuesday with the famous golf tournament by Netflix. And who could win it if not Carlos Sainz? The Spaniard therefore won the first trophy of the weekend, but it wasn't enough. Sainz's hunger to do well at the Las Vegas GP on Sunday is truly great. The #55 on the grid knows this track it might bring him some joy, although at the moment he prefers not to say too much since no one has raced there yet.
"I have better sensations than in recent races, mostly because the circuit seems to adapt to us better than the last ones. I can't wait to try the track – Sainz said during the press conference to Las Vegas.
We try to interpret the track
When you have new tracks like the one in Las Vegas you try to find similarities in the characteristics of other already known circuits in order to have a reference to base yourself on. Sainz does too, identifying in the curves and straights of Las Vegas a mix between two tracks on which Ferrari has performed well, namely Monza and Singapore. The challenge, however, will be linked above all to the conditions of the asphalt and the lower temperatures.

"Long straights, like in Monza, tight curves, like in Monza or Singapore. Maybe in the first two corners we won't be so fast, but in the rest of the track, Ferrari should be better and I hope this gives us a good opportunity. However, we know nothing about the asphalt and curbs. I think the key will be to keep an open mind about what lies ahead. The track will be constantly evolving and we will have to have quick reflexes in making the right decisions. For example, it's raining now and we didn't expect it. I have high expectations and high hopes for this weekend, we'll see how it goes."
