Wait. This appears to be Ferrari's choice for now as to the possibility of seeing new updates on the F1-75 soon. Next Sunday we'll get on track, for the fourth round of the season, with the Emilia Romagna and Made in Italy Grand Prix. So we return to Imola. According to many, the weekend at the Enzo and Dino Ferrari racetrack should have been and could have represented a turning point for many teams, with the arrival of many updates: from Red Bull with the overweight issue (and now also reliability), passing for Mercedes, up to Ferrari.
Nothing new
However, the choice of the Maranello team seems to be very clear: at Imola, barring something, there will be no decisive updates on the "Beast". The main reason for this choice is the structure of the Imola weekend, characterized by the Sprint Race on Saturday, which anticipates qualifying on Friday. We will therefore have only one free practice session, in which the teams are called upon to prepare for the qualifying session which will start a few hours later.
Binotto: "It's difficult to bring updates for Imola"
This was therefore the decision taken by Ferrari, as confirmed by the team Principal Mattia Binotto: “It will be a difficult weekend in terms of bringing developments and trying to evaluate them in Friday's practice because it is obviously necessary to concentrate on qualifying in the afternoon. In this sense, Imola is not the right place. However, we will try to fix the problems we still have, and I mean porpoising, which has affected our performance. We will therefore work on this, but let me tell you that the updates will come later ”.
Binotto: "We're doing great"
On reflection, after all, Ferrari doesn't even need such updates that urgently, as the car is there and running great.: “We have worked hard giving a high priority to 2022. I knew we could do better than the previous championships and I hoped to have a competitive car right away –declared the Italian team principal – but I certainly didn't expect such a positive start. It would have been unfair to think so. However, the differences between us and our opponents remain small and the last few races have shown it. The next ones, therefore, will still see great challenges ".
