It is very difficult to comment the result of Ferrari a Miami. La Rossa, on the Florida track, in piazza Carlos Sainz in fifth place and Charles Leclerc only in the seventh box. Results obviously lower than expected, but what is really worrying is the "Ferrari race version” which gives no guarantees at all.
Ferrari, for Leclerc ends a weekend to forget
In Miami we have to talk about two completely different races for both riders. Charles Leclerc, who started with the yellow tyre, struggled a lot in the first part of the race. The Monegasque, as also admitted in the post GP, he could not “turn the car”. A great problem, partially resolved at the time of the pit stop. The Monegasque, as also recommended by the Pirelli strategy, went on Hard rubbergiving different hints of life. He tried and succeeded in attacking Gasly, gaining sixth position, lost, however, immediately by Hamilton's Mercedes which, despite always being criticized, allows the English driver to stay in front of a Ferrari.

Sainz's race
The redhead therefore showed that she was having difficulty with Leclerc on medium tyres, but that she recovered in the second stint. A completely opposite analysis should instead be made on Carlos Sainz. The Spaniard did a very good first part of the race on medium tyres. He came close to Feranando Alonso's attack several times, fighting for the podium as admitted by himself. Then, the disaster. And don't come to say that it's the fault of the penalty received. The penalty and the mistake are perfectly fair but, analyzing the race and the times, they are also useless for the result obtained. Sainz does not finish fifth, behind another Mercedes (Russell's), due to the penalty, but for an SF-23 that didn't go with the Hard tyres.

The car is too erratic
Again, the main problem with this car is the race pace. The inconstancy, like Vasseur defined it in the post GP, scares and not a little in Maranello, also considering the package of updates brought over the weekend. There is certainty in qualifying, but it is absolutely necessary to understand why this car continues to suffer from ups and downs during the race, while on Saturday it can play for pole with the Red Bulls.
The triptych is already decisive
It may seem like a phase that has already been written, but the triptych that Ferrari is preparing to face (Imola, Monaco and Barcelona), it will be really decisive in understanding which path he will have to take Maranello stable, not only in excellent 2023, but also in view of next season. Having reached the fifth race of the world championship, there are still many, too many question marks on a car that is unable to perform at its best. We need answers and also as soon as possible, only and exclusively for the good of all.
