Those are fiery days that follow the spread of the most relevant news of recent years, that is the arrival of Lewis Hamilton in Ferrari in 2025 with a contract mind-boggling, which adds to that of Leclerc signed a few weeks ago. News that generated a series of chain events, such as the announcement of Sainz's departure, the reaction of Toto Wolff, and the complete upheaval of two teams as important as Ferrari and Classic Mercedes for sale. We can already imagine the Hamilton - Leclerc couple but up to a certain point because such a huge change necessarily implies the upheaval of some internal dynamics that we will know when the two have to share the garage.
Having on one side of the garage the driver on whom everything was invested for the team's growth, Charles Leclerc, and on the other a 7-time world champion will certainly not be a walk in the park. The risk is that the garage will break, and that this will generate discontent, especially in the most loved driver in the recent history of the Cavallino. According to what we have already told you, and reported by various newspapers, Leclerc would have learned of the news of Hamilton's arrival well before signing the multi-year renewal. This would not have influenced Charles' choice in any way, much less created discomfort for him. The scenario, however, as reported by Fulvio Solms on Corriere dello Sport it would be very different. Leclerc and his entourage, Solms says, they would not have taken the news of the arrival well.
An arrival like this is difficult to keep secret, yet silence fell within Ferrari until the very day of the announcement. Who knew Lewis was coming?

Didn't Leclerc know about Hamilton when he signed?
Charles, the Monegasque prince immediately captured the hearts of the fans upon his debut. He perfectly embodies the values of Ferrari and is everything a Ferrari driver could want from a driver. He has everything to become a champion, he came close in 2022 but had to surrender to a clear superiority from Red Bull. We always wonder when his year will be, when a car will arrive that will allow him to compete for the world championship as he deserves.
Many hoped that the team would put him at the center of the project, given that with Sainz there have never been clear hierarchies. The Spaniard's departure was expected for this reason but no one had taken into account such an arrival. Instead of finding a shoulder at his side, there is a 7-time world champion, the most successful driver in F1. A thorn in the side according to what Fulvio Solms reports in Corriere dello Sport.
Solms in fact commented on the Monegasque's – at this point unexpected – reaction to Lewis' arrival as follows: “If Leclerc stays ahead of him he will be a hero, if he keeps up with him, his reputation as the predestined will tarnish. The Monegasque and his clan were disappointed and shocked by Ferrari's decision who at the time of the extension a week ago did not imagine what was about to happen."
