After the farewell of Mattia Binotto, in the Ferrari house there is a name that has been resounding with absolute grandeur for weeks now. Let's talk about Frédéric Vasseur. The Alfa Romeo team principal is high on Ferrari's target list and nothing rules that out the next few days may be decisive in this respect.
Ferrari, all about Vasseur
Following of Binotto's resignation, confirmed on November 29, Ferrari reported in the press release: “The process to identify the new Team Principal of Scuderia Ferrari begins now, and should end in the new year”. A fairly clear message, which we could summarize with: we still don't know who the team principal will be, but we're working on it. The most insistent name, for quite some time, is that of Vasseur. Based on what filters, already in recent weeks Ferrari got an agreement in principle with the French engineer. The Maranello team didn't just turn to him: in fact they are also known the rejections of Horner and McLaren team principal Seidl.

The first move is coming
According to what he reports Motorsport.com, Ferrari now seems to have chosen Vasseur. The signature is still missing and should arrive soon. To take the first step it should be Alfa Romeo who could announce the official separation with his team principal in the next week. At that point, the way would be paved for the arrival of Vasseur in Rosso.
Waiting for signature
For now, these seem to be the strongest rumors about Binotto's possible replacement. Be careful though, because in sports and in Formula 1 when the signature on the contract is still missing, anything can always happen. All that remains is to wait, even if there shouldn't be any major twists.
