The 2022 season has long since ended and the 2023 season is almost upon us. With the announcement of theAlfa Romeo, arrived yesterday there is only one left team still having to formalize the presentation date of his single-seater. There Ferrari will be revealed to the world 14 February, in the hope that it is a “love at first sight”. There Red Bull, the main rival of the Reds, will instead present first of all, on February 3rd. Logical to think that they will hide most of the car, showing only the livery.
Between mistakes and breaks, the world championship was probably thrown away
The protagonists of last year have certainly been Red Bull e Ferrari, which gave birth to battles that made millions of fans passionate again. As we know, however, the Ferrari of Maranello, between errors by the drivers and strategists through failures of the power units, despite probably having the best performing car on paper, managed to make itself escape the world which the Italian team has been missing for a long time now 16 years. The 675 project, according to the latest rumors, seems to be going in the desired direction and, perhaps, we could see a new battle. Maybe even with Mercedes in case it shines again.

And if in the constructors it had arrived in P3?
In the end, Ferrari got the better of the ever-rising silver arrows in the latter part of the season. But it wasn't convenient finish in P3? Let's take a step back. Red Bull, after the scandal Budget Cap, received a fine and a reduction in the hours of use of the wind tunnel and CFD simulator, very useful time for an efficient development of the car. We also know that as you go down the constructors' table, the time available in these facilities increases. The Maranello engineers, therefore, could have thought of finish in third position so as to have more data on which to base to improve the car from an aerodynamic and chassis point of view and try to reach the Austrian team.
However, as with everything else in the world, there is "the other side of the coin". Coming further back, the team founded by Enzo Ferrari would have received less money and this would have led to a decrease in the budget to work on (of course, always counting the maximum ceiling).
It will not have been an easy choice for the men at Ferrari, but the fans only hope that the best choice has been made for the good of the team.
