It hasn't been a very quiet summer break for the Ferrari. The Maranello stable in fact received a lot criticalespecially after what happened in Hungary. The finger has been pointed at the team principal binotto, which will be played a lot in the second half of the season.
What a July for Sainz!
It wasn't an easy break for Carlos either Sainz. However, the Spanish rider concluded very good the month of July: win a Silverstone, the first of his career in F1, great comeback in France(following the change of the Power Unit) and fourth place in Hungary. The only sore point is the reliability problem encountered in Austria, at a time when the Spaniard was close to Verstappen's attack and was ready to give an incredible one-two punch to all Ferrari fans.
“We are strong, but we have to organize ourselves”
It will be a very important recovery for Ferrari, which we can summarize as follows: erase the mistakes made in the first part of the season, but maintain the same performance seen from the first race in Bahrain. This is also the idea of Carlos Sainz who, speaking to Racing News 365, declared:
"I think in the race there was clearly something in terms of conditions that didn't help us. Already on Saturday we took a step back compared to Friday and we weren't on pole. I think there was something wrong with the car. We need to regroup, analyze what we can do better in these conditions and I'm sure we'll come back strong".
