In Austria, after 9 races, the Ferrari he took his first breath of air of the season. Second place Charles Leclerc and the superlative defense of Carlos Sainz they made the team and the Ferrari fans breathe again.
I'm working on the set-up, that's the reason for the tests
The only negative note of Leclerc's weekend is certainly the Sprint Race. The Monegasque found himself in difficulty in those slimy conditions. The problem can be identified in the difference in attitude between him and his partner. If #16 prefers a setup with a rear end more free, #55 loves a set up more stableboth front and rear. The key to the Spaniard's P3 was therefore a car that wasn't too complicated to drive. A single-seater that breaks down a lot in the corners is therefore not ideal on that type of track. Charles' mea culpa referred precisely to this, of always wanting him to dare, even if those weren't his favorite conditions.

To find a better balance of the car it will therefore be essential to take advantage of all the sessions free tests. Given the only test held in Austria, it was easy for no team to find the right window, and therefore also for Ferrari. That means we haven't seen it yet the true potential of the SF-23.
Diffuser arriving at Silverstone: this is the amazing work of the mechanics
As anyone has pointed out, that is the path taken by the Scuderia di Maranello right. The new front wing and the revised bottom are just Appetizers of the menu that the team wants to show before the summer break.
For the next scheduled grand prix in Silverstone, in fact, Ferrari will bring a new one diffuser. This addition will complete that great set of developments started to bring in Spain.
The gap with the Red Bull is filling up. From second on the lap given at the beginning of the season we moved on to half a second. With the new exhaust, Maranello expects a gain of another tenth. Precisely for this reason, Silverstone will be a significant test bed to draw a line that will create a fork in the road: continue on this path (which seems like the right one at the moment) or concentrate fully on the car 2024.
