Two victories in the last two races, four overall successes to seven. In the space of two weeks, Ferrari managed to reopen the world championship after having witnessed six Red Bull victories in a row. The points recovered from the Austrians were not many, but they were there reaction which was needed to make July the month of Ferrari.
The summer break, which will begin on August 1st, still has eleven days and two appointments left: France and Hungary. Two diametrically opposed tracks but what Ferrari will have to know how to interpret it best to go on holiday with a minimum gap from drink rivals.
As highlighted already during the Austrian GP weekend by team principal Mattia Binotto, the team has always remained satisfied with the developments introduced throughout the season. Among all, the straight speed (probably the biggest disadvantage against Red Bull) has been significantly improved from the beginning of the season to today.
As? Thanks to a great job by refinement of the bellies, of the bonnet and to a new one rear wing. Regarding this latest improvement, Ferrari will try to entirely close the gap with Red Bull with one updated version in France.
In this way, as Paolo Filisetti wrote in today's edition of Journal of Sport, Ferrari will be able to match Red Bull in terms of aerodynamic efficiency maintaining a good advantage in vertical load when cornering, until any updates from the Austrian company in that sector.
